Recruitment in Assam Rifles

Assam Rifles recruitment rally will be held at Kohima (Nagaland) and Shillong (Meghalaya) from 6th May 2013 to 22 May 2013 for enrolment of 147 vacancies (male candidates) of Tradesmen and 24 vacancies of Para Medical Staff:-

a) At Kohima (Nagaland)
i) Tradesmen: 79 posts (BB-1, Carpenter-17, Cook-27, EBR-13, Tailor-7, WM-14)
ii) Para Medical staff: 21 posts (Staff nurse - 9, FA-6, AYA-6)

b) At Shillong (Meghalaya)
i) Tradesmen: 68 posts (BB-0, Carpenter-14, Cook-26, EBR-9, Tailor-5, WM-14)
ii) Para Medical staff: 3 posts (Staff Nurse - 1, FA - 1, AYA - 1)

Age:

• For Tradesmen, between 18 to 23 yrs as on 1st Aug 2013. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 yrs to OBC and by 5 yrs to SC/ST candidates.
• For Para Medical Staff, between 18 to 25 yrs as on 1st Aug 2013. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 yrs to OBC and by 5 yrs to SC/ST candidates. For widows of ex-servicemen of Assam Rifles personnel, General/OBC upto 35 yrs and SC/ST upto 40 yrs of age
• Actual age minus service plus 3 years should be within the upper age limit of 23/26 and 28 years for Ex-servicemen

Pay:  Pay scale and other allowance will be as admissible to Assam Rifles Personnel.  

Educational Qualification:

• Tradesmen :   The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is class X and to qualify the departmental professional Trade Test of the Trade for which the candidate is seeking enrolment.
•  Staff Nurse  :  The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is (i) Matriculation or equivalent (ii) Diploma in Nursing from the recognised Council (iii) Must have working knowledge of Hindi.
• FA and AYA :  The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is Matriculation or equivalent and qualify the departmental professional Trade Test of the Trade for which the candidate is seeking enrolment.

Application Fee: Candidates need to pay the fee of Rs. 50/- payable through SBI Challan through Power Jyoti Account No, 32611562834 at SBI, Laitkor Branch, Shillong, Code No – 13883. SC / ST & Ex- Servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Educational Qualification, Physical Standard, Physical Efficiency Test and Written Test. After these candidates will be placed in merit list depending upon the category wise vacancies allocated to states. Instruction to join the Training Centre for enrolment will be issued on the basis of Merit List.                                      

 

How to Apply: Candidates need to download the prescribed application format available in the notification, fill it with all mandatory details, attach photograph, attest signature, super scribe the name of the post to be applied for on the envelope and send it along with Challan, to the Directorate General Assam Rifles (Recruitment Branch) Laitkor Post Shillong Meghalaya – 793011 on or before 28-03-2013.

Last Date for Receipt of Application: 28-03-2013.

Important Notes:

• Applications will be accepted only  by post.
• Fee paid by SBI Challan will be submitted alongwith the application.  Fee paid by modes other than SBI challan will not be accepted and the application of such candidates will be rejected forthright and the payment  made shall stand  forfeited.

• CANDIDATE BELONGING TO THE  PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CATEGORY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS EXAMINATION.
• Only a single application will be entertained.  Candidature in respect of multiple applications will be rejected outright without any notice to such candidates.
